Trek update: 134 miles down, 1171 to go

| April 17, 2007

Shorter and slower today. Shorter because I walked to the local Hertz outlet to pick up a rental car for myself (Sandra left this morning, driving over to Utah to visit family). Slower because (a) the shoulder was muddy and slippery in places due to heavy rains last night, (b) I stopped at several points due to various reasons, and (c) I’m just a bit stiffer and slower today. I followed my usual course for the first seven (7) miles or so, then headed west on Mainstreet (that’s how it’s spelled) and north on Dransfeldt to the Hertz outlet. But, hey, it’s still nine (9) more miles.  ..bruce..
