Fairbanks Ranch – mandatory immediate evacuation

| October 23, 2007

A mandatory evacuation order has been issued for Fairbanks Ranch:

Reverse 9-1-1 calls are going out to issue mandatory evacuation orders to 1,197 Fairbanks Ranch households, city officials said.

Residents can take shelter in the Encinitas Senior Center at 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive and Carlsbad High School at 3557 Lancer Way.

My daughter Jacqui (as opposed to my sister Jacque — and my mother Jackie) works at Fairbanks Ranch; I haven’t been able to reach her in the past two days, and I suspect she’s quite tied up right now.  ..bruce..
