“In the black”

For of all sad words of tongue or pen,
The saddest are these: “It might have been!”
— John Greenleaf Whittier  (1807-1892) American Poet

For your viewing, with a tip o’ the hat to Phil Plait at Bad Astronomy:

The singer/composer/video editor is Marian Call, who has an entire album (“Got To Fly”) in tribute to Firefly, Serenity, and Battlestar Galactica.

Firefly should have been a successful TV/movie franchise; it still remains (IMHO) one of the best TV series ever to have aired. But the craino-rectally-impaired executives at Fox TV never gave it a chance. I remain convinced that if the same group had been in charge of Fox in 1993, The X-Files would have been cancelled within half a dozen episodes (after changing nights three times).  Sigh.  ..bruce w..
